We prefer Unicode Consortium, Microsoft, Apple, and official language or tool documentation. Source links appear beside claims where they are most useful.

Testing labels

Tested means we directly exercised the method in the stated environment. Documentation verified means the instructions were checked against the platform owner’s current documentation.

Corrections and updates
